Efficacy

I think that every teacher has to be confident and have persistence. Other wise students will not listen to their teacher if they do not have confidence in themselves or what they are teaching. Teachers that have persistence will last longer in a classroom and won't have students walk all over them. I've had teachers that weren't persistence and would tell students what to do and what not to do. And then she would never follow through on her rules. So students would walk all over her. I think that these attributes are best developed through years of teaching. You learn what works and what does not work and what they need to work on in their classroom.
